ENERGY, OIL , GAS & MINING
ENERGY, MINING AND PETROLEUM HUB

SIBCO Group alongwith renowned energy, mining, oil and gas companies envision value creation through investment and active participation in exploitation and mining of natural resources i.e. hydrocarbons and energy chains in upstream, midstream and downstream sectors especially in African nations.

SIBCO Group is entering into Head of Agreements for investment in energy, mining, oil and gas exploration especially in African nations.

The Agreement will lead to formation of a Joint Team between SIBCO Consortium and host governments alongwith state-owned companies with the objective to carry out a holistic feasibility studies on technical and commercial that includes geological and geophysical works assessment on prospective exploration areas prior to entering Production Sharing Contract or Concession Agreement.

SIBCO Group is also planning to develop a strategic mega storage centre that will create significant values in midstream and downstream activities. Oil markets have remained in contango, where prompt prices are cheaper than forward rates. SIBCO Group has identified a location to be among strategic location to become a regional petroleum distribution hub for Asia Pacific region.

It has natural deep water port with natural depth above 30m to receive largest vessel ULCC (above 500,000dwt) Straits of Malacca is the shortest route from major oil producer of GCC countries to Asia Pacific region. Trade through Straits of Malacca is greater than 15 million bbl/d, or about one-third of all seaborne oil.

As part of SIBCO Group long term strategy for sustainable energy, we are planning to participate in solar power plant project. With energy demand continually increasing, along with the need for new and clean energy sources, solar energy will definitely be an important part of the future energy mix. The cost of solar panels is dropping exponentially. The first and most important technological change is the falling cost per watt of silicon photovoltaic cells over the past few decades making large solar power plant projects feasible and attractive.
